rejections part 2. so m gets a call from the bankers a week late. they tell him - "we're still thinking about you. are you still available?" this sets up a possible double rejection. cause obviously if he was the first choice, he'd have an offer and not a week late phone call.

so there seem to be people who disagree with the silent rejection theory. the arguement is that they need closure. i will re-examine. silent rejections are good if you are not too involved in the process. if you had a one hour interview, silent rejections are good. if you have a 6 hour day long interview, they need to provide you with closure. back to dating. if you meet someone and go back to their place for 1 night, silent rejection - ok. if you go back to their place on several occasions - then you need a non silent rejection.

totally agree with that last paragraph. if i didn't get called after a full day interview with teh results, good or bad, i would have been pissed. for the short commitments, an email is fine for work, nothing required for dating; phone call is unnecessary and akward.
