if the canadian government really cares about helping poor countries, they should stop immigration from these countries. this sounds like something coming from the far right, but i'm actually saying it from the left. by allowing immigration, canada picks off the best, smartest and most educated people from poor countries. while these people get "better" lives in canada, the poor countries lose out. these poor countries spend money developing their people only to have them leave. as a result these countries remain poor and uneducated. as a slap in the face to these poor countries, we don't even use their talents in canada.
