ray 7/10 was a pretty good movie, but i guess that's obvious from the oscars it won. i found it interesting that there was a scene where adults were saying - "we don't want kids listening to that crap (ray charles' music)". today they worhsip him and his music by making a movie. this reminds me how my mom wasn't allowed to listen to elvis because he was evil. adults today (i mean 50 year olds) complain that rap isn't music and that music has too much sex and drugs. like "lucy in the sky with diamonds" or "yellow submarine" wasn't about drugs.
but anyways in 30 years, can you see them making a movie about the life of eminem or 50 cent ? their stories are similar to ray charles. they both came from poor backgrouds, they made controversal music that shocked people of the time. or how about a movie on the rise and fall and mental breakdown of mariah carey?
anyways a sign that we're all getting old - boyz 2 men - one of my favourite groups of the past - is playing at casino rama. when the musicians you liked as a kid start doing the casino circuit...wow. just think in 20 years when britney replaces celine at caesar's.
