adega on elm st - 5/10. limited menu, but food was average, the decor... interesting. apparently "adega" means "wine cellar" in portugese. the main floor looks like a regular restaurant, but we were seated in a room in the basement decorated like a dungeon - i mean wine cellar. its most those who have romatic notions of wine cellars. i want to start a restaurant and call it "coal mine". hey i'll put it into an abandoaned mine, it would be authentic. or how about "men's washroom"? "guantanamo bay"? i'm aware that many of you feel that i make ridiculous comparisons.

hot house cafe on front st - 7/10. no, not the place at hart house. the food and decor are much better than the name suggests. j really likes this place, but i couldn't give it an 8, or it would ruin my journalistic integrity (sic).

Comments:
I ask everyone to spare a prayer tonite to Saddam Hussein. If you ever make it out of this alive, you'll get your own talk show for sure.

Also a shout-out to Ubuntu Linux. With the latest version, Linux is FINALLY ready for the masses.
