back in the city. finally. its not that i don't like small towns. i like cotages, national parks, camping and the peace that small towns bring. but small towns during winter on lake huron whose main attraction (which is why i was there) is that it is close to the nuclear plant.. no.
anyways i managed to get a lot of reading done after work at the most luxurious motel there was (super 8 - 5/10). i guess i understand why small town kids drink, tip cows and make babies...
john steinbeck's east of eden - 9/10 - along with one of his previous novels the grapes of wrath - 9/10 are probably the some of the best pieces of fiction that i have read. reading one of the two is a must.
anyways another small town quirk - the pizza store that we ordered lunch from is also a video store. video's and pizza - not as bad as photocopying and bubble tea at harbord and spadina.
