much criticism has been leveled at the canadian government at the so called "slow" evacuation of canadians from lebanon. while the people being evacuated are understandably under a lot of stress, much their criticisms against the evaculation sound annoying and ungrateful. i'm thinking, maybe we should have left them there. props to the people who praised and were grateful to the evacuation effort, although their comments won't be featured here.

here are their comments from the toronto star

"They treated us like animals," complained one man, who did not give his name, about the voyage. "The bathroom, it was disgusting. This degraded me. "

- this man smartly didn't give his name, or he would have become the joke of the internet. he's never seen bathrooms in china. they are being evacuated from a war zone! i suppose he wanted cruise ship style bathrooms?

"People were vomiting, my kids were seasick," Chacra said.
- yeah, its a boat. they would be bus sick if it were by bus, airsick if it were by plane. don't blame the government for that one.

"They treated us like shit," railed one woman, with two young children in tow. She was describing the voyage just ended. "It was horrible."
- yeah trying flying american airlines

"There was no air-conditioning. It was very disappointing."
- come live with me in waterloo this summer.

"We waited 10 hours to get on the boat," complained another woman, who did not give her name. "We stayed on the boat 13 hours. There were no Canadian officials on the boat. No doctor."
- again, refer to my AA comment, try flying commercial - instead you get delayted at o'hare for 10 hours.
