i read eric's schlosser's fast food nation - 6/10. interesting read about how much crap goes into the cows that we eat. meat eating is potentially dangerous because of this. the funny thing is learned is that mc donald's probably has the safest beef around because of the stringent standards they impose on their suppliers. its also interesting how fast food has become a part of the american culture and provides dead end jobs for millions of people.

i've spent like 4 hours recently organizing hockey cards from 15 years ago. its a rediscovered joy. s managed to get boxes and boxes of old cards for cheap. now i'm finishing up the sets that i couldn't afford to finish 15 years ago. now that i'm older, i actually have the cash to spend on this hobby. 15 years ago, i thought my hockey cards would be worth something. checking on ebay, i've discovered that they haven't really increased in value. so disappointing.
