my "sin" of choice is gambling. some people always want to go drinking. i don't understand it. gambling is so much better. from now on everytime someone says "let's go drinking", i'm going to insist on gambling instead. for instance drinking you take out $50 and your end of the night expected value is $0. you get a good buzz, talk to strange women and the next day you feel like crap. on the other hand gambling, you take out $50, you probably end up for $0 if you suck, but there is the slight chance the you end up ahead. the expected value is > 0. in addition you still get the adrenaline from betting, you don't physically feel like crap, and you don't end up with strange women.
