so i went with j to american apparel yesterday for the first time. $25 for a t-shirt made of a poor quality material, with very little design or skilled labour involved in making it. the clothing is equivalent to the $3 t shirts you find in chinatown. but the clothing is produced sweatshop free in los angeles using unionized workers. its like its almost unaffordable to shop with a social conscience. i guess i'm only buying clothing made in non unionized "factories"
