a couple of restaurants i never got around to discussing.

next generation sushi on bloor/bathurst - 6/10. yhe bento box is nowhere as good as my favourite japanese place - jun jun's on college. jun jun's - 8/10, is at least a monthly affair, because of its good value - for the quality and quantity of food. i give it an 8 even though it doesn't have amazing décor/service or a master chef. its one of those little places that you just keep going back to. it would be comparable to multi millionaires who still enjoy wendy's.

the supermarket in kensington market - 7/10, is japanese /pan asian inspired, even thought the name suggests you are going grocery shopping. inside is more like a lounge/club than a restaurant. the dishes are all small, so the idea is that you order many and try everything. Sort of like a dim sum concept for dinner. The cool thing about this place is that you can get rare drinks normally found overseas - like pocari sweat (japan's version of gatorade) I still think this would be a better selection for evening snacks or lunch, opposed to dinner.

Comments:
i tried pocari sweat a few days ago... didn't really like it.
