toronto Liberal MPP Lorenzo Berardinetti proposed a private member's bill that would disallow hair dressers from charging women more than men for hair cuts. this would extend to other services. the toronto star editorial rewarded him with a laurel. the toronto star survey found that women's shampoo costs more than men's shampoo, as well as women's clothing costs more than men's.

first of all - women - buy men's shampoo! i was unaware that shampoo had a gender bias. i might have even used women's shampoo before - and i have never experienced any social stigma.

second - while women (in tv interviews) all think this is a great idea - i propose this. women should pay the same amount of car insurance as men. young men pay literally $1000s more in auto insurance than women of the same age. now i know someone will make the argument - men are more reckless when they drive, etc. this is a generalization. why should i be punished for other people's driving, or the driving of a group that i was placed in? why don't insurance companies ask for race information and say that chinese drivers are involvement in more accidents and thus should pay more insurance?

here is what i think is an untrue but equivalent generalization to the one for charging men more for auto insurance. women talk more, meaning they are less productive and should be paid less.

Comments:
One day men everywhere will win the right to vote.

This bill is retarded. What next? Will men be taxed to subsidize bra and tampon purchases?
